Playing chess places us in front of a desire for control. It invites us to become aware of the internal battles we wage, aiming to transcend them and find peace within ourselves.

Hand built in black and white chamotte stoneware, fired at 1250º and finished with a matte bone-colored glaze, formulated in the studio.

Clean with a damp cloth.

Board is 27x27x1 cm

Pieces from 3x4 cm to 3x8cm.

Made in 2022 in Esther Lara’s studio in Costa Brava, Spain.
